A new program titled “Russian as a foreign language” was launched on September 16th at PSTGU. This is an in-depth practical course on the Russian language dedicated to foreign students who are studying Russian. This year, the participants include students from the University of Nottingham (Marie-Nicole Chouvaeva and Alexander George Sukoruchzka), students from the Catholic University of Milan (Alessandra Iori and Giulia Marziali), a student from the University of Genoa (Giovanni Materno), and a participant from Italy (Davide Zecchinel). The course lasts three months for a total of 72 hours, and is divided into three blocks: grammar (24 hours), conversation (24 hours), and spelling and punctuation (24 hours). The program’s target is the development of all areas of communicative skills: listening, speaking, and writing. Theoretical and practical training are conducted in Russian by Professor Olga Fokina (Department of Philology).
