On the 19th of October Orthodox pilgrims from the island of Martinique (France) arrived in Russia by the invitation of the Department of Missionary work to visit different holy places of our land. There were two clergymen of the Korsun diocese among pilgrims: father Nicholas Rebinder, rector of the Three Hierarchs church in Paris; father Jean-Denis Rano, rector of the church in honor of the Archangel Gabriel on the island of Martinique.
The Chair of Tourism of The Department of Missionary work prepared a special route for our guests. They have visited some monasteries of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, Pskovo-Pechersky Monastery.
On the 25th of October the meeting with University rector Archpriest Vladimir Vorboriev was held after the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas-Kuznetsky’s church. After this meeting Andrei Borisovich Efimov, deputy dean of of the Department of Missionary Work, told pilgrims about history and formation of St. Tichon’s Orthodox University and also guided a tour of the church of St. Nicholas-Kuznetsky.
The pilgrimage-tour lasted 11 days, from 19 to 30 October.
