As part of the 26th Shakespeare Readings, the Faculty of Philology hosts an open lecture by Professor Ruth Morse.
As part of the 26th Shakespeare Readings, a lecture was held by Professor Ruth Morse from Paris Diderot University. Professor Morse’s lecture was titled “Before King Lear: Genealogy, history, and legitimacy of accession to the throne”. The meeting was attended by students and professors of the Department of Germanic Philology, as well as students of other faculties who were interested in European culture of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The lecture was given in English without translation. Then, a seminar was held for students of the Department of Germanic Philology and the Faculty of History. The topic of discussion was the different interpretations of the theme of love in Shakespeare´s dramatic works.
