Alexander Grinschenko made member of Biblical Commission of International Committee of Slavists
At the 16th International Congress of Slavists in Belgrade (20-27 August 2018), Alexander Igorevich Grinschenko, an Associate Professor of the Department of Modern Russian in the Faculty of Philology at Saint Tikhon´s University, gave a talk on “Russo-Slavic Pentateuchs of the 15-16th Centuries with Corrections and Glosses According to the Masoretic Text and Other Semitic Sources: New Linguistic and Textual Information”, and was accepted as a member of the Biblical Commission of the International Committee of Slavists.

From 20-27 August 2018 in Belgrade, the capital of the Republic of Serbia, the International Committee of Slavists hosted the 16th International Congress of Slavists, which gathers every five years to present the most significant results of research carried out by Slavists from throughout the world in the areas of Slavonic linguistics, literature, folklore, history, and culture. On this occasion, the conference was attended by participants from over 40 countries.
The largest delegation – that from Russia – included a representative of Saint Tikhon´s University: Alexander Igorevich Grinschenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Modern Russian in the Faculty of Philology at Saint Tikhon´s University. He gave a talk on “Russo-Slavic Pentateuchs of the 15-16th Centuries with Corrections and Glosses According to the Masoretic Text and Other Semitic Sources: New Linguistic and Textual Information” during the session “Textual Research into Slavonic Literary Culture”.

The paper was published in an anthology by the Russian delegation shortly before the beginning of the Congress (available in its entirety here [Russian link]).
In addition, Alexander Grinschenko was made a member of the Biblical Commission of the International Committee of Slavists, which was created in 1988 during a congress in Sofia and is engaged in coordinating the work of Slavonic Biblical scholars in Europe and the New World.
The members of the Biblical Commission include the presidents of six national committees of Slavists, those of Great Britain (Catherine Mary MacRobert), Israel (Alexander Kulik), Italy (Giorgio Ziffer), Lithuania (Sergei Temchin), Russia (Alexander Mihailovich Moldovan), and Russia (Vaclav Chermak). The president of the Commission is Marcello Garzaniti, ordinary professor of the University of Florence.
